Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Site Operations Manager. This person will provide leadership for the Operational Management and Continuous Improvement for the Irvine manufacturing facility with output in excess of $100M annually. The Irvine facility has approximately 150 employees and is the Headquarters for Eaton Aerospace. This site makes the parts that bring jet fuel to and through thousands of aircraft every day.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $125062.47 - $183424.96 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
**What you’ll do:**
• Directly managing a team of three direct reports, with a focus on building the capabilities of our manufacturing workforce within a safe working environment.
• Promoting a culture of teamwork, employee involvement, and continuous improvement through High-Performance Work Teams (HPWTs).
• Leading efforts to drive continuous improvement and Lean principles using the Eaton Business System (EBS), Value Stream Transformations, and other Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) tools.
• Identify and implement strategies to achieve steady improvements in safety, productivity, quality, delivery and operating profits.
• Achieving revenue growth by executing monthly production plans.
• Leading cross-functional teams to establish processes that improve key metrics (ex. FPY, OTC, productivity, aged WIP).
• Promoting the implementation of Eaton's Management Environmental Safety and Health (MESH) to improve safety performance.
• Providing training and development opportunities for operations team members and leaders.
• Efficiently managing plant assets through partnership with maintenance and facilities resources.
• Align to and support capital equipment programs for production and information systems. Ensure implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities to reduce factory costs across the organization.
**Qualifications:**
**Required Qualifications:**
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Manufacturing or Manufacturing Operations within Aerospace
• Minimum two (2) years of direct supervisory experience
• A minimum of one (1) year of continuous improvement or Lean experience
• Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158
• Role does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Irvine, CA. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• A master's degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of prior management of managers experience.
• P&L and basic financials concepts knowledge.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
**Position Criteria:**
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic is preferred
• Must possess persuasive skills required of human relations and leadership
• Must be able to express ideas clearly to direct, motivate and train subordinates
• Must be able to communicate clearly to management, professionals, exempt and non-exempt employees in all matters concerning production, quality, safety and product design
• Extensive knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma techniques
• Strong knowledge of business systems and manufacturing processes required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and make effective decisions
