The Opportunity
Procter & Gamble is seeking an experienced Microbiologist to deliver the site wide microbiology program at our Lima, OH Fabric & Home Care Manufacturing facility. This role will also serve as the overall micro department leader (supervisor/leader for micro lab and other micro resources in the site). You will contribute independently to micro mastery and expertise working with site and regional stakeholders. This position has high visibility to leadership, with many opportunities for significant impact, capability building, and promotional opportunities for the future.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all the requirements defined in the standards and SOPs. Ensures end to end robustness of the Micro program to eliminate/mitigate potential micro risks. Deliver E2E site micro systems standards & quality execution in microbiology lab as the department owner. Overseeing microbiology processes and lab personnel.Builds and maintains micro systems capability as guided by business need, working with supply chain stakeholders.Ensures appropriate testing is completed for incoming materials, in process sampling, and release testing. Communicating any issues or delays with stakeholders.Understands site business priorities and links defined objectives with QA/Micro work.Lead and drives compliance via site microbiology masterplan and tracks progress. overseeing daily/weekly/monthly compliance tasks. Annually – completing internal audits, risk assessments. Collaborate with and support other sites for Micro Risk Assessment execution.Acts as the SPOC for site leadership team on all matters related to Microbiology.Reviews, steers and approves changes in site associated with Microbiology.The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or relevant related field5+ years of experience in microbiology testing, preferably in consumer products, food, or pharmaceutical industry.Prior experience managing and developing direct reportsDeep understanding and experience in the application of regulatory and compliance guidelinesDemonstrate ability to lead large cross-functional teams, driving KPIs and promoting the quality culture in the siteAbility to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate business critical updates as neededMust be able to work onsite five days per week with flexibility to work between the hours of 7:00AM – 4:00PMPay Range: $105,000 - $150,000
