Role Summary

As a site mechanical equipment construction field engineer you will be responsible for providing input, support and guidance on the mechanical equipment and components installation to the site construction supervision team of Worley and subcontractors, providing direct interface with the customer and their personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities Represents Worley at internal and external meetings on the project. Contributes to the development and implementation of Worley systems and procedures for the project and performs work in accordance with Worley internal processes and procedures. Reports on project technical scope performance against the baseline plan. Assists in ensuring that no technical changes are implemented without prior approval as per EPC contract procedure and regulatory requirements. Reviews project technical documents for compliance with mechanical equipment, components and welding codes and standards, contract requirements, results of previous design stages, etc. under the direction of the site mechanical construction supervision lead. Provides review results in the agreed form and within established deadlines. Provides technical support to the mechanical construction supervision lead and site construction supervision team on issues related to equipment and components installation. Monitors construction, installation and testing of NPP's mechanical equipment and associated systems; develops comments pertaining to non-compliance with design. Provides support to engineering team in the design and safety analysis according to international and local regulation and standards. Participates in safety and hazard assessments for mechanical equipment and components and welding processes and systems. Reviews as-built design documents and modification of mechanical equipment and components systems. Reviews, comments and prepares drafts of client correspondence pertaining to mechanical equipment, components and welding systems and processes. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering. Strong technical skills. Eight years of experience in mechanical equipment, components and welding on large scale projects and/or in nuclear power plant development. Nuclear experience is required. Knowledge of Russian nuclear codes for welding process is desirable. Recognized as having a specialized depth or breadth of expertise. Special Job Requirements Ability to analyze, communicate, influence and persuade. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential; understanding of Russian is a plus. Proactive team player, proven to be effective in a multi-cultural environment. Organized and disciplined, capability to plan and schedule tasks and events. Understanding of project schedules.
