The Site Manager will manage the site to ensure the timely, cost effective, efficient processing and supply of quality product to global customers. Assure quality systems are maintained and we comply to all local regulatory requirements and customer expectations including support of technical inquiries and audits. Effectively lead, manage and develop the team to assure they are capable and equipped to deliver on meeting company goals and objectives. (Based in Barueri, State of São Paulo)

The Site Manager will be responsible for the oversight for day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the products are manufactured safely, on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing On-site operations: Directly supervising and coordinating all on-site activities including:

Liaison and assist with all processing activities to fit with Thermo Fisher marketing, financial, strategic and tactical objectives, including, manufacturing, dispensing and labelling activities.

Scheduling and supporting additional manufacturing activities and product export to assure on-time delivery to customers

Finance Management: Be an effective cost steward for the site ensuring that cost standards, PPI productivity goals and operating costs meet financial goals and requirements. Quality Control/Quality Assurance: Working directly with the QC/QA Engineer by establishing and implementing quality management system (QMS)/Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s) and Work Instructions (WIN”s).

Liaise with Procurement-Sourcing Manager for supply, delivery, operational and production matters as necessary to ensure that company objectives in supply of product, quality standards and traceability to global markets are achieved.

Ensure maintenance of accurate inventory (cycle counts) stock records and timely reporting. Support target inventory levels to meet customer needs within reasonable safety stock levels.

Implement Kaizen and maintain best practices as applicable to ensure procedures and processes are cost competitive and deliver on the required quality attributes.

Continuous development of team members to assure existing and changing business needs are supported and individual’s career development is sustained.

Ensuring Compliance & Technical Standards:Assisting with MAPA and other local regulatory inquiries, audits and issues as required including those export related.

Navigating Brazil's unique regulatory landscape is crucial. This includes understanding and complying with various agency requirements, potentially specific to the industry (e.g., MAPA, ANVISA). Along with identified importing countries requirements.

Ensure that our product and process quality standards are consistently achieved and iteratively improved to comply with cGMP and customer requirements. Collaboration with QC/QA Engineer and support customer and regulatory visits and audits in a professional manner.

Maintain and enhance the facilities and site infrastructure to be compliant with our policies, ISO 9001 (GxP) and cGMP requirements.

Problem-Solving and Risk Mitigation: Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks, proactively identifying and addressing issues or delays. 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

This person carries the technical/legal responsibility for the manufacturing site and the execution according to regulations and standards. 

Veterinary Degree requiredIn addition, a bachelor’s degree in the Sciences, Engineering or related Technical Field with 3-5 years’ experienceExperience working in a regulated and manufacturing environment e.g. ISO9001 & GMP in a manufacturing or quality roleLanguage Proficiency: Fluency in Portuguese and English
