Site Manager (KCVC-2025-22984): 

 

Bowhead seeks tp network with a Site Manager for an upcoming proposal effort to lead on-site operations for a critical telecommunications infrastructure project at McConnell AFB and Smoky Hill ANG Range. This position oversees daily field activities, ensures safety and quality compliance, coordinates with government stakeholders, and manages the execution of GPS survey, inspection, and data updates to the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System Visualization Component (CVC).

Responsibilities

Job duties to include but not limited to: 

Serve as the primary on-site point of contact (POC) for all project activities, interfacing with government personnel, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Oversee field inspections, GPS surveys, cable tagging, and CVC data entry efforts to ensure accurate and timely execution of contract requirements.

Manage field crew schedules, resource allocation, and on-site logistics to meet performance milestones.

Ensure compliance with all safety (OSHA, confined space), security, and environmental requirements as outlined in the SOW.

Coordinate base access, permits, confined space authorizations, and equipment deliveries.

Lead weekly project meetings and demonstrations at key completion phases (35%, 65%, and 100%) to validate CVC updates and quality control.

Review and approve field documentation including discrepancy logs, field drawings, and accuracy reports prior to submission.

Support warranty and remediation activities post-installation, ensuring corrective actions are completed and documented.

Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.

Equivalent military or industry experience will be considered.

Years of experience

Minimum 5 years of telecommunications field experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Experience managing projects on military bases or within secure environments strongly preferred.

Required skills or certificationsCompia Security+ Certified (IAT II Certification Required)

Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple crews and priorities.

In-depth knowledge of OSP telecommunications infrastructure, including copper/fiber, cable tagging, and pathway documentation.

Familiarity with CVC (or equivalent GIS tools) and ESRI shape file data structures.

Ability to read engineering drawings and ensure field documentation meets contract and industry standards.

Proficient in managing safety compliance, including confined space entry protocols and OSHA standards.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a Tier 1 background check (CAC eligibility).

Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license.

Preferred: CVC Editor access or training, OSHA 30, confined space supervisor certification.

Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
