Field Technician IV – Lead

Position Overview

As a Lead Field Technician, you will lead by example and demonstrate our core values while promoting a safe working environment. You will work closely with Cemetery Sextons, demonstrate problem solving skills, and enhance our company's reputation while nurturing client relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Closing and lowering vault after service. (In some instances, this task may include assisting the gravedigger in closing the grave by shoveling dirt.)Prep concrete burial vaults as orderedLoad, transport and unload burial vaults in the company vehicleInstalling vault into the graveAssembly and disassembly of graveside tentsPreparation for graveside service (placing folding chairs/chair covers / artificial grass)Keep daily reports including pre-trip and post-trip logsMaintain a maintenance schedule on the vehicle and all equipment Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, warehouse and shopResponsible for all work functions to be performed timely, correctly, and in a safe mannerProvide a safe, clean, respectful and dignified burial presentation for the family and guests at the grave site.Communicate with all service-related exceptions and issues with the plant manager immediately.Monument setting and installationSandblasting, last date lettering (LDL)Monument RepairAssign and schedule servicesPlan routes, while maximizing efficiency

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

Knowledge of backhoe preferred, but will consider someone who is willing and capable of learning to operateKnowledge of knuckle boom crane preferred, but will consider someone who is willing and capable of learning to operateMust pass MVR checkMust have a valid driver's licenseMust obtain a medical cardMonument transport, setting, and finish5+ Years of Field Technician Experience

Physical Requirements

Detail oriented Full body movement, use of all senses, able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.Must be able to lift, stand, bend, stoop, twist, turn, kneel, and squat for short period of time.The job will be working outdoors and being exposed to all types of weather conditions
