Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to find a Site Investigation Specialist to work in a contract position in Spring, TX with benefits.
Job Role Summary
Seeking a qualified and experienced individual to provide site investigation expertise for global conventional oil & gas exploration, appraisal, and development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams (wells / geoscience / service companies) to apply the appropriate site investigation techniques, technologies, and procedures for analysis with integrity and to a high standard to work ethics.
Job Role Responsibilities Integration and analysis of geophysical, engineering geophysical, geotechnical, and offset well data 2-D and 3-D seismic interpretation of the shallow subsurface from mudline to below the surface casing point for each drill well Application of AVO/DHI Analysis High-resolution seismic survey design and oversight Geologic scenario development Shallow hole section well planning, surveillance, and post-drill reporting Vendor contracting, supervision, and evaluation Knowledge and application of Company’s internal requirements and government regulatory requirements Report findings through regular meetings and written reports Liaise with pore pressure/well planning specialists, business unit geoscientists, and drilling engineering to ensure the best well plan Conduct operations and activities in accordance with environmental policies, Codes of Environmental Practice and environmental guidelines Requirements are as follows: Bachelor’s degree in Geology or closely related field A minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience in a site investigation role Marine engineering geophysical interpretation 2-D and 3-D seismic interpretation Geophysical site survey design skills & Understanding of Acquisition and processing methods Site survey contracting and quality control oversight Application of seismic and sequence stratigraphic interpretation Strong Background in DHI/AVO analysis and practical geophysical theory Fault network mapping and interpretation Knowledge of drilling technology, pore pressure prediction, and log analysis Strong knowledge in Site investigation best practices and external standards and regulatory environments
