**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a full-time **Site Inspector** to be based in our Mississauga or Markham office and assigned to municipal water/wastewater infrastructure construction project across the GTA. In this role, you will have a general understanding and experience in civil engineering and be familiar with the design and construction of vertical and linear conveyance municipal infrastructure. You will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. You will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive and enthusiasm for getting things done. You will be expected to support in the delivery of vertical and linear conveyance infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal storm water, water and wastewater sector.
In this role, you may be assigned to full-time site positions on major civil infrastructure projects in the GTA. You will be eligible for overtime pay and may be required to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Perform construction inspections and tracking of construction progress
+ Inspecting for conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements
+ Tracking of field activities and events accurately
+ Performing quality assurance as required
+ Coordinating with the Contract Administrator and Engineering team
+ Participating in testing and commissioning
+ Writing and review of daily reports, minutes of meetings, etc.
+ Contractor submittals tracking and review
+ Adhering to in Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) requirements. Includes completing all assigned training, reporting safety observations, incidents, and near misses, and adhering to client and prime contractor HS&E requirements when on-site
+ Assisting with the preparation of project specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field + 2 years of related experience or Civil Technologist Diploma + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Driving license and access to vehicle
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Eligible for registration as an EIT with PEO or a CET with OACETT
+ Experience with civil engineering, construction inspection, and contract administration
+ Working knowledge of water / wastewater / drainage conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal environment
+ Working knowledge of transportation infrastructure: roads, sidewalks, etc.
+ Working knowledge of vertical infrastructure (i.e., concrete structures, buildings, process equipment, HVAC and plumbing, electrical works, I&C works).
+ Working knowledge of contract documentation including OPS and CCDC
+ Process equipment commissioning experience
+ Excellent written skills for technical reports
+ Excellent attention to detail
+ Strong ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients
+ Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
**Additional Information**
+ Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00.
