Health & Safety Advisor – Kwinana H2Refueller

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced H&S professional to provide onsite safety leadership for Woodside’s new Kwinana H2Refueller during commissioning, start?up and early operations. This hydrogen facility operates at the forefront of new energy technology, requiring strong operational discipline and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities Provide visible H&S leadership through regular field engagement, toolbox talks and pre-start participation. Support risk assessment processes and review JHAs, SWMS and permits to ensure compliance with project and legislative requirements. Conduct inspections, workplace observations and assurance activities; support incident reporting, investigations and close-out of actions. Work closely with contractors and supervisors to align safety expectations, provide coaching and escalate recurring issues when required. Maintain accurate safety records, support the H&S Management System and contribute to routine safety reporting. Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including drills and first response coordination. Skills & Experience Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum); Diploma desirable. Proven construction or site-based H&S experience with strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk controls. Experience working with contractors or TPC environments. Strong field presence, confident in challenging unsafe behaviours, and proactive in finding practical solutions.
