Our location in Liberty, SC currently has an opportunity for a Site Controller (Finance Manager). The individual will be the Finance Leader supporting Cardiac Rhythm Management Factory Focused Operations team for the Liberty, SC manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for site operations leadership to drive financial ownership, cost efficiency, and business excellence. Scope of responsibilities include financial planning of capital projects, consolidation of site P&L, quarterly “latest best estimate” forecast cycles, annual product standard cost setting, preparation of presentations for month-end and forecast results, and strategic ad hoc analyses. **What You’ll Work On** + The Controller is responsible for financial leadership in a plant. The position’s functional responsibility influences Manufacturing, QA, Technical Services and Materials Management through budget decisions, financial training, financial recommendations, and general business guidance Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the shared service function. + Interacts with the Global and Regional Manufacturing Controllers and the Divisional VP of Manufacturing through presentations of financial plans/analyses/strategies and is responsible for representing the plant in these discussions. + Implement and manage controls to ensure financial transactions and systems comply with regulations, accounting principles and standards. + Provide expertise and advice to managers to help them develop budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities. + In conjunction with the Plant Manager, sets the appropriate financial direction ensuring the proper reflection of financial results and forecasts. + Facilitates proper reporting, analysis and monitoring of actual results across manufacturing organizations. + Prepares annual cost standards for products at plant, including existing and new products at the Liberty plant. + Assures compliance to all relevant GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, as well as Corporate and divisional policies and procedures. + Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop financial staff. + Facilitates development and deployment of processes and tools to enable improved budget planning and monitoring across all organizations + Conduct regular financial reviews with business partners to communicate financial performance, key business issues, and provide valuable insight to help business achieve financial goals. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelors Degree + Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Finance/Accounting field + Skill set: + Self-motivated and proactive, setting high standards for success; + Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; + Accuracy and attention to detail; + Great communication skills and ability to articulate results based on audience; + Quick learner and adaptable to changes and new environment. **Preferred Qualifications** + BS in Accounting / Finance + MBA in Accounting/Finance + CPA/CFA preferred + • Demonstrated leadership skills • General Accounting                                                           • Financial Planning and Analysis                                                   • Management/Supervisory Experience                                          • Cost Accounting preferred                                                                         • A background in all areas of manufacturing accounting, specifically in cost, planning and analysis and manufacturing systems is preferred • Considerable personal contact is required with all levels of management, as well as a variety of people both within and outside the organization • Excellent communication (both oral and written) & interpersonal skills.   • Must be results oriented, self-starter/motivated, a strong managerial background with good business sense Apply Now (https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en) **Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:** www.abbottbenefits.com (http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx) Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life. The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
