HDR Engineering is currently seeking aCivil/Senior Site Civil Engineerto join one of the largest, fastest growing, and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the industry

This person will be part of an integrated team responsible for the design of facility related sites in support of Data Center and other Mission Critical buildings and infrastructure. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. Experience in site development and the design of building related site civil (grading, utilities, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is preferred. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound civil site designs.

Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Civil/Senior Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Conduct early project development activities including site selection, due diligence, and site planningDesign and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of mission critical projects, including site layouts, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activitiesConduct quantity calculationsConduct permitting submittals to local authorities having jurisdictionPerform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresServe as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as neededPlan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as neededPlan, organize and supervise work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as neededOversee work of other professionals and technicians as neededPrepare/Review civil engineering scope of work and budgets/estimates for proposals as neededPerform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Strong operating knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam RevuPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desiredDemonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of Architects, Engineers, and DesignersPreference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degreePrevious experience in general civil engineeringProfessional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Demonstrated leadership and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft OfficeGood verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) The targeted salary range for this position (based on experience and location) is $74,900 - $139,100 {New Jersey}: $86,135 - $133,750
