Position Overview

Account Coordinator – SIS Job Description 

Shaw Industries is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our SIS team. The Account Coordinator is a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who supports Account Managers in delivering exceptional service to annuity clients across diverse market segments, including government, retail, corporate, education, healthcare, specified living, and hospitality. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by assisting with proposal development, order processing, and account coordination. Success in this role is measured by timely and error-free execution of account tasks, effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, and consistent support of account goals and client satisfaction. 

This position follows a hybrid work schedule. Associates are expected to work in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, while Monday and Friday are remote workdays, unless business needs require on-site presence.

Responsibilities 

Assist Account Managers in preparing project proposals and setting up customer accounts in Winbid. 

Verify scopes of work, upload purchase orders, and generate internal documentation for order processing. 

Coordinate with Customer Service and Transportation to ensure accurate order entry, inventory assignment, and timely delivery. 

Manage financial documentation, including vendor payables, customer invoices, and third-party billing. 

Monitor and allocate blanket inventory for designated accounts. 

Maintain accurate records and support documentation retention. 

Submit job closings and coordinate with Operations to ensure timely billing and reconciliation. Follow up on outstanding payments and update AR notes in Winbid. 

Provide backup support for Account Managers during absences or peak periods. 

Build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams, vendors, and clients. 

Other duties as needed. 

 

Qualifications 

High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary coursework in business or operations is a plus. 

Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or account coordination. 

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data entry), Outlook (calendar and email management), and Word (document formatting). 

Experience using order management or CRM systems such as Winbid, Salesforce, or SAP preferred. 

Demonstrated ability to manage 5 or more concurrent tasks with minimal supervision. 

Proven track record of meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate documentation. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction across teams and with external partners. 

Experience resolving customer or vendor issues independently and professionally. 

Demonstrated reliability in attendance and timely completion of assigned tasks. 

Willingness to contribute to team projects and suggest process improvements.
