About This Role
Job Summary:The Simulator Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all simulation devices and systems in support of flight training operations. This includes managing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting routine checks and addressing any technical issues related to the simulators. The technician must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and work collaboratively with other departments to provide efficient solutions to technical problems. Additionally, they will contribute to the development and improvement of simulation technology within the organization.Responsibilities:1. Carry out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities on flight simulators (e.g., checking and maintaining proper configuration, electrical power supply, ventilation, fuel system, fire-fighting, aircraft control surfaces, visual display systems, etc.)2. Ensure that all simulators are kept clean and well maintained at all times3. Perform daily checks on all equipment and report any defects or required maintenance4. Carry out repairs on simulator components as necessary5. Conduct tests and carry out adjustments on simulator equipment as directed by superiors6. Assist in developing procedures and manuals pertaining to operation and maintenance of simulators7. Provide assistance to trainees during flight simulations8. Collaborate with other departments regarding technical issues and propose feasible solutions9. Suggest improvements and modifications to existing simulator equipment and software10. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activitiesQualifications:Aviation Industry - Aircraft Maintenance/ Manufacturing experience Technical knowledge and ability in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, IT networks, computers and Microsoft Office applications Workshop practices including health and safety requirementsExperience working in a team environmentGood written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situationsKnowledge of aviation regulations and industry standardsFamiliarity with avionics systems and aircraft mechanicsStrong problem solving and analytical abilities.
