Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Simulation Education Specialist at Dignity Health YRMC you are an essential member of the education team. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical simulation-based training programs for healthcare professionals and students. The specialist plays a vital role in creating realistic and immersive learning environments to enhance clinical skills, critical thinking, and patient safety.

This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and a passion for education. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to advancing healthcare training through innovative simulation technology

Collaborate with hospital departments, physicians, and clinical educators to design, develop, implement, and evaluate simulation-based curricula aligned with identified needs and best practices in adult learning.Provide training to faculty and staff on the utilization of simulator equipment, scenario development, programming software, and updates related to simulation education.Conduct structured process and outcomes evaluations of all simulation educational activities.Maintain proficiency in existing and emerging technologies and clinical applications, including basic theory, design, and implementation.

Job Requirements

Miniumum:

Bachelors Of Nursing (BSN)4-6 years Nursing experience

Preferred: 

Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN)High fidelity simulation and low fidelity simulation experience, AV and software experience, scenario development, sim lab coordinationWhere You'll Work
