SimPro Engineer
Job Requirements

The Job:

To provide support to the SKF and customer engineering communities on the use of SKF engineering software calculation tools and to ensure their further development

Provide users with guidance on model building, debugging, execution, and interpreting results.Ensure service delivery in alignment with customer expectations and adhere to established SLAs for response and resolution times.Conduct problem identification, implement workarounds, perform root cause analysis, and manage major incidents.Serve as a liaison with the engineering community and document their feedback.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of user documentation and training materials.Comply with SKF Company procedures and code of conduct.

Requirements:

Educational background

Master/Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

 

Professional experience & Skills

2–5 years' experience in engineering; application engineering background preferredProficiency with mechanical engineering tools (e.g., SKF SimPro, KISSsoft, ANSYS, ABAQUS)CAD experience (Creo) a plusPython programming skills advantageousGenAI, machine learning, and data analytics experience valued

Work Experience

Required Skill set:

SimPro Expert, SimPro Quick, SimPro Spindle, SimPro Seal Designer are the bearing simulation products which performs calculation of bearing life. Fallow Agile Methodology with team size of 2 QA and 7 Dev.

• Creating Test plan 
• Creating Test Scenarios for the user story and executing them manually.
• Performing unit testing, integration testing
• Once Manual testing is done, bringing some of the scenarios to automation.
• Creating feature file in BDD format (Gherkin language) using Squish automation tool.
• Writing script for the automation using python/Squish recorded scripts.
• After merging the specific feature into default build, executing regression testing and performance testing manually.
• Running existing automation test cases on default build 
• Analyzing cause of scenario failed in automation.
• Reporting the issues in Youtrack and verifying the issues once they are fixed.
• Maintaining and reviewing the automation sources
• Worked on License checking and Installation testing 
• Attending Sprint planning, Daily standup meeting, Sprint review meeting, Sprint retrospective meeting and giving sprint demo.
