Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) – Elementary School Location: Statesville, NC School: Elementary School Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM (37.5 hrs/week) Start Date: February 23, 2026 Contract Length: 20 weeks (Remainder of 2025–26 School Year; potential to extend) Position Overview Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide 1:1 support for an elementary-aged student. This role supports communication access, student engagement, and daily educational success. You'll be working closely with a strong support team already in place to ensure a successful and collaborative experience. Key Responsibilities + Provide 1:1 Sign Language Interpretation for an elementary student (Kindergarten or 3rd Grade). + Support communication access in classroom activities and daily routines. + Collaborate with teachers, staff, and support professionals to ensure student success. + Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in the school setting. Requirements + Associate’s degree in interpreting or a related field. + EIPA score of 3.5+ (required). + Prior experience in an educational setting. Assignment Details + No travel required. + Immediate start; strong likelihood of contract extension.
