**Description**
Short Range Planner is an individual contributor role. The role will be responsible for the following:
+ Provide factory build commits to Global MPS Planner
+ Update sequencing strategies and production calendars (In-House) and generate finite production schedule for factories
+ Review factory capacity utilization and validate resource capacity assumptions
Key Responsibilities:
+ Receive build requests from Global MPS Planner and provide build commits
+ Develop finite schedule based on MPS plan; aligns finite schedule with production and receives sign-off
+ Accountable to revise 4-week schedule horizon as needed to insure capacity utilization and most efficient format/sequence are achieved.
+ Communicates and/or leads meetings with various stakeholders (up to & including VPs) on timing for critical FGs and WIPs which have been escalated as business risk drivers.
+ Reviews material shortages and raw allocations with MPS and Brand Ops to ensure alignment on branded strategy against short supply items and owns coordination of such strategy through production execution.
+ Monitors plan to execution (production) adherence; highlights deviation to Global MPS Planner
+ Conduct weekly meeting with MPS planner(s) for all resources to insure alignment between the Execution and MPS horizon
+ Review factory capacity utilization, setup changeovers, kettle downtimes, and determine production constraints
+ Review Expiration Report and Plan Stability and Risk Tracking biweekly
+ Provides inputs to Global MPS Planner on factory constraints for incorporation in master planning process
+ Works with material scheduler to ensure feasibility of finite schedule; works together in coordination with Receiving and Traffic as needed to resolve any immediate material constraints impacting production schedule.
+ Update sequencing strategies, production calendars
+ Release production orders to shop floor
+ Attend weekly CDPS and Production meetings to ensure alignment across the plant on the plan and drive resolution on any issue preventing the plan attainment or effecting fill rate
+ Based on RCCP and in alignment with MPS and Agility Team coordinates and supports the execution of outsourced work to 3rd party TPM’s to alleviate capacity constraints.
+ Responsible for management and oversight of plant attainment scorecards
+ Accountable to resolve quality notifications for rejected materials and action EXOB for obsolete inventory
**Qualifications**
Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Operations Research or related field
+ Minimum 2-4 years of related experience in Supply Chain
+ Knowledge of, and experience with supply planning and finite scheduling tools (e.g., SAP, OM Partners, etc.) is preferred
+ Knowledge of, and experience with Finite Scheduling, MPS, DRP, and Manufacturing processes
+ Experience working within factories and knowledge of factory operations
+ Knowledge of, and experience with production sequencing, economic batch quantity calculation and other related finite scheduling techniques is preferred
+ Experience in the cosmetics, personal care industries preferred
Capabilities:
+ Knowledge of the interactions and interplays between supply and demand in the executional horizon (0-2 months), with a focus on finite scheduling
+ Highly analytical – analyzes data and provides clear / fact-based presentations to stakeholders
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and quick to react and respond to changes
+ Strong organizational skills, able to successfully manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously
+ Execution oriented – thrive under pressure with a demonstrated ability to get things done
+ Strong attention to detail – ability to accurately manage, update, maintain large datasets
+ Strong communication skills with ability to present to everyone from senior leadership to factory workers
