JP Morgan’s Short Duration trading desk is part of one of the top Interest Rates Trading businesses on Wall Street, and we are currently looking for a qualified candidate to work on the trading desk, and help facilitate trading.  

Position Summary:

As an Associate on the Short Duration Trading Desk (Securities), you will be responsible for pricing client trades, hedging risks, and managing various operational duties. You will collaborate with the team to set expectations on pricing, risk, hedging, and the direction of the book. Your role will include handling desk projects and fulfilling daily operational requirements, such as booking and confirming trades, communicating with sales and sales assistants, reporting desk P&L, and working on spreadsheets and coding projects for desk intelligence. Job Responsibilities:

Pricing small to medium sized client tradesHedging risks to trades and the book, including duration, curve, swap spreads, futures, and on-off the run riskDeveloping desk infrastructure for risk and P&LWorking with the desk to develop analytics for relative value trading in both cash and derivativesManaging all operational duties for reporting P&L, risk, and anything ad hoc asked by the desk including projects or specific data gathering. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

1+ years of trading experience is required.  No exceptions.Undergraduate degreeSIE, Series 7, Series 63 requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsInterest in markets and macro productsAbility to take direction and constructive feedback, while meeting time sensitive deadlines on a daily basis
