**Job Title: Shop Technician**
**Job Description**
Shop Technicians will be working in the new build department to troubleshoot and perform repairs on different components of the machinery. They will be assembling and disassembling centrifuges and performing tests to ensure proper function.
**Responsibilities**
+ Move, secure, install, build, load, or unload materials.
+ Perform specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training.
+ Load and unload equipment, machine assembly, and installation of equipment.
+ Operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
+ Use heavy and light equipment effectively, depending on the job assignment.
+ Move items from place to place, following directions from the supervisor.
+ Build crates and pallets.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in electrical and mechanical skills.
+ Experience in machine building and blueprint reading.
+ Knowledge of plumbing, piping, diesel, and engine systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
+ Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred.
+ Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; any technical training beyond high school is a plus.

**Work Environment**
Candidates will work in a department similar to a large garage at a car dealership, dealing with lots of grease and oil as they work on trucks and centrifuge units. The role operates on the 1st shift hours from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The dress code includes work pants (e.g., Dickies, blue work pants), work shirts/mechanic shirts provided by the employer, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and baseball caps. No loose jewelry is allowed. There is a steep learning curve, so engagement and a willingness to learn are essential.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
