In this role, you will lead the high-level maintenance strategy to optimize activities and cost reduction for production assets. You will also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance. Your role is vital to the efficiency, development, and progress of manufacturing.
As a Shop Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Improving production facilities, reducing incidence of costly breakdowns, and developing strategies to improve overall reliability of plant, personnel, and production processes.
Collaborating with the Maintenance and all Operation Leaders to improve preventive Maintenance, maximizing performance and reducing costs by creating synergies.
Designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods, diagnosing breakdown problems, and carrying out quality inspections on jobs.
Liaising with engineering and production colleagues, dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
Collaborating to safety policies and procedures, developing strategy and maintenance procedures.
Executing cost reduction and productivities projects, process changes and implementation of sustainable cost controls.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics (preferred), Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
Have advanced knowledge of outage planning, computerized maintenance management systems and related computer tools and programs.
Have advanced knowledge on PLC Systems and automation lines.
Be confident with predictive maintenance technologies.
Display Teamworking skills to work cooperatively and liaise with people at all levels, coordinating the job of external Contractors and engineering
Be a self-starter with high energy and initiative, demonstrated problem-solving skills
Thrive on working collaboratively in a matrix organization, bringing people together towards an end goal
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
