**Job Title: Shop Helper** **Job Description | $19-20 an hour | START THIS WEEK!** As a Shop Helper, you will be engaged in various tasks including MIG/TIG welding on elevator casings, operating spot welders, punch press, and press brake. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, handling grinding and metal finishing as needed, assisting in building crates, and performing fabrication tasks. Training on welding and other duties will be provided. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG/TIG welding on elevator casings. + Operate spot welders as required. + Operate and troubleshoot punch press and press brake machinery. + Handle grinding and metal finishing tasks. + Assist in the building of crates and product fabrication. + Train on welding and other shop duties. **Essential Skills** + Experience in grinding, shearing, and welding. + Ability to operate punch press and press brake. + Proficiency in spot welding and sheet metal fabrication. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1+ year of sheet metal manufacturing experience is preferred. + Open to candidates with no experience who possess a great attitude and willingness to learn. **Why Work Here?** Join a smaller company where you will know everyone, including their families. You will work Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM in a large, clean, and organized fabrication shop equipped with a brake press, turret/laser, welding stations, assembly, and painting facilities. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
