**Job Title: Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic- Weekly Pay!**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic with over 2 years of experience. The role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing various systems found on heavy equipment. This includes working with mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, computer-controlled automatic transmissions, and pneumatic systems. The mechanic will also troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, repair track drive components, and service heavy-duty multi-axle suspensions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in the equipment.
+ Repair and service components such as track drive sprockets, rails, idler wheels, and hydraulic systems.
+ Service, diagnose, repair, and maintain speed tandem drive axles with air or electric shift.
+ Tune diesel engines, service valves, and adjust injector heights and fuel racks.
+ Diagnose problems, disassemble units, repair or replace parts, and reassemble units in various systems.
+ Overhaul engines, replace engines, and rebuild components.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and functional work area.
+ Assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques.
+ Perform related work as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in diesel mechanics, troubleshooting, and heavy equipment repair.
+ Knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
+ Proven mechanic experience with heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, paving machines, backhoes, and more.
+ Mechanical, diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience is required.
+ Experience with Caterpillar equipment.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.
