Job Description
As a Shop Foreman, you will play a crucial role in leading a maintenance enterprise. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that Service Technicians, equipment, and materials are utilized effectively to maximize productivity. By maintaining and repairing equipment properly, you will contribute to improving efficiency and customer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with the Service/Branch Manager, you will help build a profitable location through your leadership and service expertise. This challenging and rewarding position offers a pathway for advancement into the role of Service Manager.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the activities of Service Technicians.Train and supervise mechanical personnel when necessary.Ensure the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment.Diagnose and supervise the repair of equipment to ensure efficient work performance.Maintain accurate and timely paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) on a daily basis.Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment when required and maintain a service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMechanical skillsTroubleshooting abilitiesElectrical and mechanical repair expertiseAdvanced mechanical aptitudeWorking knowledge of toolsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; trade-school degree is a plus.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.5+ years of experience in repairing and maintaining equipment and tools.Ownership of tools applicable to the position.Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.Strong diagnostic and repair skills for a variety of systems.Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment involves maintaining and repairing complex rental equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The position requires travel to customer job sites as needed, where maintaining a clean and professional service vehicle is essential. This role is considered Safety Sensitive and adheres to strict safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
