Major Responsibilities

As a Lead Fleet Technician / Shop Foreman, you will lead the maintenance and repair of our school bus fleet while supporting efficient shop operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Supervise and support technicians in daily shop activitiesSchedule maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliabilityGenerate work orders and track progress through completionDiagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issuesMaintain advanced knowledge of all vehicle systems and componentsEnsure accurate service records and compliance with safety standardsMonitor shop performance and efficiency, implementing improvements as needed

QualificationsJourneyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal) or equivalent experienceStrong experience with diesel engines, commercial transport vehicles, or transit busesOwnership of a basic mechanic’s tool setDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality work, and teamworkPrevious leadership or supervisory experience considered an asset
