Adecco Permanent Recruitment is seeking TWO Shipping Supervisors to join our clients growing Team!
**About the Company:**
Located in Watkins Glen, NY this facility plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished goods. The organization operates within a unionized environment and emphasizes safety, compliance, and continuous improvement as core values.
**The Role:**
We are seeking two Shipping Supervisors to oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, vendor interactions, and the performance of unionized staff. These are hands-on leadership roles requiring a balance of decision-making, customer-facing professionalism, and employee management.
+ **Shifts Available:**
+ Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Must have flexible to work later when necessary)
+ Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Must be flexible to adjust shift, when necessary)
+ **Compensation:** $70,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience) + a 10% production Bonus
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Supervise and direct a team of ~20 union employees, ensuring efficiency in shipping, packaging, and receiving functions.
+ Serve as a point of contact with vendors and customers – requiring professionalism, communication skills, and confidence in customer-facing interactions.
+ Maintain compliance with OSHA, BRC, and company SOPs.
+ Manage employee scheduling, performance reviews, and adherence to union policies.
+ Monitor workflow and support timely delivery of materials and products.
+ Mechanically inclined – provide support in machine troubleshooting and root cause identification where necessary to keep operations moving smoothly.
+ Collaborate with internal departments to improve processes, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
**What We’re Looking For:**
+ 2+ years of supervisory experience in shipping, logistics, or manufacturing.
+ Strong ability to lead and make decisions under pressure in a union environment.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Effective communicator who can balance vendor interactions with employee relations.
**Pay Details:** $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
