Shipping Receiving Lead
**Shipping Receiving Lead** **Job Description** The Shipping Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of shipping and receiving to ensure efficient and accurate processing of products. This role requires close coordination with various departments to uphold quality standards and adhere to food safety protocols. **Responsibilities** + Assist in supervising daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of products and materials. + Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure correct quantities, documentation, and quality standards are met. + Perform physical inspections and counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and prevent spoilage or loss. + Coordinate with procurement, production, fulfillment, and quality assurance teams to meet scheduling requirements. + Ensure all food safety protocols (HACCP, GMPs, etc.) are followed during handling, storage, and transport. + Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping/receiving areas in compliance with food industry standards. + Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS and or ERP: V18 & NetSuite). + Maintain complete and accurate shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and other necessary documents. + Ensure all shipping information is being transmitted from V18 to NetSuite for the automatic billing process. + Address and resolve shipping issues promptly and report any discrepancies to management. + Communicate receiving discrepancies and damaged or missing goods to the purchasing team immediately. + Match receiving documents with purchase orders to support timely and accurate payment processing by accounts payable. + Assist with shipping and receiving reconciliation to resolve goods receipt/invoicing and shipping/billing mismatches. + Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in the receiving and documentation process. + Assist in preparing reports and KPIs related to shipping, receiving, and inventory performance. + Act as a liaison between the warehouse and office teams to ensure smooth cross-functional communication. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role, preferably in the food or beverage industry. + Familiarity with food safety and handling regulations. + Strong organizational and communication skills. + Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems. + Strong knowledge of receiving procedures, documentation requirements, and ERP/WMS systems. + Fluency in English and Spanish **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain is a plus. + Forklift certification is an asset. + Experience with FedEx online and UPS shipping. + Understanding of FDA regulations. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and innovative team committed to quality and efficiency in the food and beverage industry. The position requires adaptability to both settings, ensuring that operations run smoothly in varied conditions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
