Volt is immediately hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Irwindale, CA.

As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will:

Verify documentation and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments Count, weigh, or measure materials and products for packaging Clean and deburr metal parts, prepare stencil templates, and label materials using marking equipment Assemble boxes and crates for outbound shipments and secure contents using strapping equipment Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move and stage materials Affix shipping labels and assist with preparing freight documentation Maintain safety, accuracy, and cleanliness throughout shipping processes Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and shipment requirements

This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Prior experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a metals or manufacturing environment Ability to read and follow shipping paperwork and verbal instructions Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment Strong attention to detail and safety procedures Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as required Good communication skills and a team-player attitude

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (6:00AM – 4:00PM), with overtime as needed

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
