Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Shipping Lead position ensures customer delight in a cross-functional support role within the shipping department with extensive, higher-level function. This role is expected to manage the receiving of valves into the shipping area, setting, packing, closing, auditing, and shipping customer orders.

Supervise receiving, packing and shipping operationsAssure quality of work conforms to organizational policies, procedures and government regulationsMaintain Workflow and optimal throughput and safetySustain metrics and help analyze data to assess performance of personnelUtilize knowledge of parts to identify bad or mixed valves and piece part accuracySatisfy training requirements for various positions in the shipping processReceive valves from assembly accuratelyCollect all material for Manifold Assembly and verify against BOMMatch MO’s for kit orders applying knowledge of CO and MO correlation and schedulingManage inventory levels for shipping suppliesCoordinate workload for staff, shifting personnel as needs ariseManage the accuracy and timeliness of material being packed, staged, and shippedSupervise shipping document accuracy and completion without supervisionEnsure Product is accurately and safely packed and organized per written and verbal instructionsDevelop, implement and maintain processes to reduce costs and increase efficiencyIdentify Opportunities for continuous improvement and create actions to achieve resultsRecord product, packaging, and order information on specified labels, forms, and recordsMeasure, weigh, and count products and materialsAudit shipments to verify order accuracy and packing specifications are metAddress any discrepancies with Accounting and PurchasingWork Closely with Customer Service to assure clear communication and customer satisfactionManage the creation of BOL’s, ASN’s and SLI requestsIdentify errors and provide continuous improvement ideasOther duties and responsibilities as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities
This position requires accountability for supervising personnel, providing guidance and adequate staffing. This roll oversees the supply chain process to achieve optimal results through various methods, getting tasks completed with a hands-on approach while utilizing high-level communications skills.

Additional Information
The hourly rate for the position is in-between $ 20.00- $28.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
