Siemens Grand Prairie, Texas is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join their plant. Typical day would be coming in, updating shipments status from overnight (review loads set to leave 2nd/3rd shift, any that may still be here – find out status on their loads) review LTL trailers & order trailer swaps where needed, attend morning production meetings (Switchboard line, Switchgear line, possibly Power Panel line if they have dedicated truckloads that day) Review notes from meeting & book truck appointments, book miscellaneous courier requests that come in from operations, follow up on any issues from the production meetings, see what Shipping Supervisor needs assistance with (other duties as assigned), attend afternoon production meetings & from those update all the current bookings accordingly and then add any new bookings This position also works with our off-stie storage partner(s) to coordinate pickup/delivery of truckloads.
Your will make an impact by:
Stage and organize outbound shipments. Manage trucks & drivers on site and our overall dock scheduling, shipping ERP processes including SAP shipping PGI and Delivery Note creation Ensure inbound/outbound schedules are met with attention to detail and timely delivery. Review manifest reports from carriers for any short or damaged loads, address changes or other inquiries, tie off late trucks with 2nd shift and our brokers/carriers as necessary. Enter data in inventory and logistics software as well as conduct inventory control and material handling. Create & review any international shipment documents – prepare any missing paperwork. Manage with shipping operations and work with export & US Customs laws and regulationsYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma 2 plus years’ experience in order selection, shipping & receiving, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment Experience with US Customs Laws and Regulations Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:
