company policies and procedures, all S.O.Ps, work instructions, and GMPs. Proactively supervise departmental metrics that impact cost. Foster a team atmosphere, provide vision and demonstrate support of the company’s core processes.
Hours of work – Monday – Thursday = 7:30am – 3:00pm; Friday – 7:30am – 12:30pm
What you will be doing:
Ensures department meets shipping goals on a daily basisCreates documents and shares departmental metrics for productivity, safety, quality, and any other metrics required by the companyObtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages within the companyMaintain the company warehouse through SAP, WMSSchedule large shipments and plan logisticsKeep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for supervisors and managersHandle issues arising in shipping or inventory handlingEnsure adherence to environmental management and systemsTrouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve themPlace merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goodsAvailable for monthly inventory audits of finished goods and raw materialsEnsures compliance to all company policies and proceduresOwns issues and problems, seeing them through to resolutionBuilds collaborative relationships within the organizationIdentifies and resolves potential safety problems; responds to safety auditsEnsures all documentation/time sheets are legible and accuratePerforms job duties in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company safety rulesPerforms other job duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
High school diploma or G.E.D. requiredMust have three years of related experienceMust be able to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organizationMust be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondences, and memosMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsMust be able to perform intermediate arithmeticMust have experience in Excel, spreadsheets and be able to access information on the internetMust have knowledge of proper loading techniquesMust have the ability to operate a label machineMust have the ability to operate the FedEx and UPS meter machinesMust be skilled in office procedures and methods including, but not limited to, telephone communication, office systems, and record keeping Must demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelMust be able to maintain good attendanceMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
