Shipping Coordinator - 1st shift
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Shipping Coordinator - 1st shift. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** The Shipping Coordinator will ensure that materials and finished goods are available at designated shipping zones to support timely and accurate deliveries. He/she will be responsible for preparing and staging shipments in accordance with customer requirements and shipping documentation, while reviewing and validating Bills of Lading, packing lists, and labels for accuracy and compliance. In this function you will: A. Coordinate and stage outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers. B. Accurately prepare shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, packing slips, and labels, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. C. Verify that all outbound materials match shipping orders and are correctly packaged and labeled. D. Maintain clear communication with logistics providers, carriers, and internal teams to schedule pickups and resolve shipping issues. E. Utilize ERP systems such as AS400, VISTA and shipping platforms such as LTL, parcel, Transplace to manage and track shipments. F. Organize and maintain the shipping dock to ensure efficient material flow and prevent delays. G. Safely operate PIV equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and perform daily pre-use inspections, reporting any issues immediately. H. Follow all safety protocols related to trailer inspections, driver control, and visitor interactions to ensure facility security. I. Collaborate with planners, buyers, and production teams to prioritize urgent shipments and resolve discrepancies. J. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance shipping accuracy, speed, and cost-efficiency. K. Support material handling and warehouse operations as needed to maintain overall workflow. L. Respond promptly to requests for expedited shipments or special handling from supervisors or production staff. M. Ensure all outbound materials are placed in the correct containers or staging areas based on system requirements and shipping schedules. N. Maintain accurate records of all shipments and ensure system data integrity for inventory and logistics tracking. O. Provide backup support to receiving or inventory control functions when necessary. Assist in material handling for production flow P. Recognizing urgent inbound material from Supervisors, Planners, and production employees with immediate action upon those request Q. Ability to support the Material Handling Team when needed **Qualifications:** Required (Basic) Qualifications: • A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. • Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC will be considered.  Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. • Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification Preferred Qualifications: • Previous Material Handling Experience • Associates Degree in related field **Skills:** • Strong organizational skills • Understanding of Bills of Material • Two years of direct manufacturing experience or equivalent • Working knowledge of the LVA Panel Build and Wire area and a working knowledge of the manufacturing operations.
