Job Description
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders and finished goods accurately and efficiently. This position ensures that all outgoing shipments meet company quality standards and customer requirements while maintaining accurate shipping records and documentation.
Responsibilities
Organize sales orders by fulfillment priority based on customer deadlines and shipping type, and distribute to Shipping Operators.Submit orders for transportation on customer TMS portals as needed.Generate shipping documents, bills of lading, and carrier labels using company software.Coordinate pickups with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight.Maintain accurate shipping logs and records for traceability and auditing.Inspect outgoing goods for damage, correct labeling, and compliance with quality standards.Communicate effectively with production, quality, and customer service teams to ensure on-time shipments.Resolve issues with shipments, such as lost or late deliveries, and address customer complaints.Maintain a clean and organized shipping area following company 5S or housekeeping standards.Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and materials tracking.Prepare, package, and label products for shipment according to customer and carrier specifications.Verify shipment contents against packing lists, invoices, or work orders to ensure accuracy.Other duties as assigned.Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.Essential Skills

The work environment is clean and organized. It is not temperature controlled but remains cool enough in the summer. The second shift hours are from 3:30 pm to midnight. The environment includes a nice cafeteria, vending machines, and a casual dress code. Additionally, there is a profit-sharing plan available once you become a direct employee, company parties for various occasions, and Gatorade is provided on hot days.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr.
