Shipping Clerk
Job Title: Shipping CoordinatorJob Description The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for shipping products and materials in accordance with company and customer specifications. This role leads activities in the Materials Department, specifically focusing on the shipping dock and Pick and Pack operations. The coordinator provides support for all activities related to the assigned materials team and ensures efficient throughput in the department. Responsibilities + Promote company values through personal productivity, quality of work, and management of relationships. + Comply with workplace safety procedures. + Ensure regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work scheduled overtime. + Provide excellent customer service in all interactions. + Monitor workload and order completion for Pick and Pack, redirecting workflow as needed. + Participate in lean and 6S implementation teams, adapting to high pace and changing conditions. + Organize, prioritize, and direct shipping dock employees. + Review system-generated messages. + Determine best shipping methods using approved carriers and schedule shipments. + Manage bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork for shipments. + Accurately receive customer units into finished goods inventory. + Pick purchase orders when necessary to communicate correctly with the Purchasing Department. + Interface with customer service and planning on priority shipments and international shipping documentation. + Process shipments according to Dangerous Goods Requirements. + Build and maintain relationships with internal departments. + Troubleshoot shipping delays or changes with carriers. + Coordinate inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities. + Provide clerical support for inbound and outbound logistical operations. + Responsible for inter-departmental and inter-facility transport of goods. + Review device history record paperwork. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + 2-5 years of experience in shipping. + Knowledge of logistics, third-party logistics providers (3PL), material handling, or inventory control. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. + Experience in scheduling freight pickups from various carriers. + Recent use of Inventory Management Systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with international paperwork. + Experience with bills of lading. Work Environment The position is onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Noblesville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
