The Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of outbound shipments from our Lumberton, NC facility. This position is responsible for coordinating shipping activities through our warehouse management system and transportation management systems, working closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, and leadership to meet delivery expectations and maintain operational efficiency. This description provides a general outline of the role and is subject to change based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process outbound orders using the D-365 warehousing systemSchedule pickups and coordinate outbound shipments through the Transportation Management System (TMS)Interact professionally with carriers and drivers regarding appointment times, door assignments, shipping instructions, and required paperworkAssist with packing, staging, and loading of shipments as necessaryIdentify and report inventory discrepancies or order issues to the Team Lead in a timely mannerSupport general warehouse operations and perform other tasks as assigned by leadershipMinimum Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishBasic math and measurement skills with sound reasoning abilitiesExperience with computerized inventory systems (D-365 experience strongly preferred)Physical ability to push, pull, and carry up to 40 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; occasional team lifts of up to 100 lbs may be requiredMust successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, forklift assessment, and relevant skill evaluationsPrior forklift experience preferredPrevious experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferredAdditional Information
