Warehouse Worker Urgently Needed in Boonton, NJ and Can Start Immediately

Location: Boonton, NJ

Shift: 8:30am-5pm (Monday-Friday)

Pay: $18/hour ; Overtime: $27/hour

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Specialist to manage and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping operations. This role involves preparing items for shipment, which includes assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or materials.

Responsibilities

Compare identifying information with counts, weights, or other measurements of outgoing shipments to verify quantities against bills of lading, invoices, or orders.Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.Generate shipping labels for shipments and calculate ship rates for foreign orders.Calculate, pack, and weigh orders for delivery or routing to departments using hand trucks, conveyors, or sorting bins.Load shipments onto carriers and pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or postage meters.Maintain accurate shipping records and determine shipping methods utilizing knowledge of procedures.

Essential Skills

Experience in shipping and receiving.Proficiency in packaging, packing, and picking.Material handling and inventory management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boonton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
