**Job Title: Shipping Associate**
**Job Description**
The Shipping Associate is responsible for assisting with the creation and monitoring of purchase orders and receipts related to outside processing services. This role involves preparing parts for customer source inspection, assisting with part marking, packaging products to prevent damage during transportation, and ensuring shipments meet customer and regulatory requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist with the creation and monitoring of purchase orders and receipts for outside processing services.
+ Expedite parts and outside services as required.
+ Prepare parts for customer source inspection and assist with source inspection.
+ Package products to protect from damage during transportation and storage.
+ Examine shipments to ensure they meet customer and carrier requirements, export regulations, and customs compliance.
+ Ensure shipping documents are accurate and complete, and that all packages are properly labeled.
+ Verify the accuracy of orders and maintain accurate records of shipments.
+ Utilize material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport materials.
+ Complete paperwork in compliance with internal processes and quality procedures.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
+ Follow directions consistently and accept responsibility for actions and work product.
+ Comply with manufacturing processes, work procedures, and safety guidelines.
+ Proactively identify job hazards and collaborate with leadership to ensure employee safety.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Attention to detail and accurate counting, measurement, and recordkeeping.
+ Self-management skills, including efficiency, sense of urgency, and adaptability.
+ Professional written and verbal communication skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Forklift certification required upon employment.
+ Experience in shipping and receiving is preferred.
+ Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet concurrent deadlines.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes exposure to excessive noise, dust, smoke, mist, fumes, and vapors. Hearing protection is required. Employees will work with hazardous equipment, including forklifts, hand tools, and cranes. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, Georgia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00/hr.
