We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Worker to join our team. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and safe warehouse environment.
ResponsibilitiesUnload incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.Pack, label, and document outgoing products according to company and customer specifications.Update inventory systems, conduct cycle counts, and assist with inventory transfers between locations.Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials and products.Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records; coordinate with logistics, production, and customer service teams.Ensure warehouse areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.Assist in testing and verifying products received from OEM partners before adding to inventory.Essential SkillsExperience in material handling, machine operation, and inspection.Proficiency in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, and packaging.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.1–2 years of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience preferred.Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.Why Work Here?Join a leading manufacturer known for high standards in quality and environmental management. Work EnvironmentWork in a non-climate controlled production facility, which can be very hot during the summer. Employees are allowed to keep water at their work station. The role operates on the 1st shift from 7am-3:15pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
