Description:
The Idaho State Liquor Division is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Materials Handler to join our warehouse team. This role is physically demanding, and we require someone who can thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Prior experience in warehouse operations and safe handling of machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Safely operate forklifts, stock pickers, high lifts, and pallet jacks to move freight and materials within the warehouse.
+ Receive, unload, inspect, and verify freight deliveries for accuracy and quality.
+ Organize and package large material shipments and ensure proper accounting of materials.
+ Manage inventory stock levels, rotate materials, and ensure proper storage conditions.
+ Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
+ Perform routine equipment checks to ensure machinery is in good working condition.
+ Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment in compliance with warehouse safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Warehouse experience involving shipping and receiving.
+ Capability to lift, carry, and move heavy items (50 lbs+) for extended periods.
+ Willingness to collaborate with other team members in a fast-paced environment.
+ Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and handling of hazardous materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Some knowledge of: warehouse safety, accident prevention and loss control.
Good knowledge of: inventory control methods; basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Experience: handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies; operating and maintaining material handling equipment; entering, accessing and retrieving data using a computerized records system; reviewing inventory documents for accuracy and completeness.
Willingness to: be trained on the operation of power and/or hand tools; greet individuals, answer phones, and provide information to customers; bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds; stand and walk continuously throughout an 8 hour shift; work in dusty and dirty conditions; handle and store hazardous materials; clean and maintain a safe working environment.
