**Shipping and Receiving Specialist** **Location:** Redmond, WA **Shift:** 5 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F **Pay:** $23-28, depending on experience **Job Description** We are seeking a knowledgeable Shipping and Receiving Specialist with expertise in material stocking procedures and techniques. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently manage shipping and receiving tasks while maintaining accurate records and documentation. **Responsibilities** + Continuously improve products and processes and participate in quality improvement teams. + Ensure on-time delivery to customers by maintaining productivity and adhering to department schedules. + Recommend cost-saving measures and ways to cut unnecessary expenses. + Satisfy the needs of internal and external customers by responding to requests and understanding their requirements. + Prepare, pack, and crate merchandise for shipment according to shipping invoices, postal regulations, and customer specifications. + Prepare packaging for parts shipment and/or storage. + Prepare material kits from bills of material or material pick lists and issue to production. + Count and bag material for storage and issue materials or supplies from stock. + Receive and unpack supplies, materials, and goods, verifying against bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, or other paperwork. + Complete all store, receiving, and shipping transaction computer data entry. + Recommend additional equipment and resources required to meet division goals. **Essential Skills** + Thorough knowledge of shipping, receiving, and material stocking techniques. + Ability to operate a hand truck and forklift. + Basic computer skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with shipping software, international shipping, and services like FedEx and UPS. + Material control and management expertise. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers competitive pay and the opportunity to convert to a long-term position. The role involves lifting 10-20 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
