Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate, where you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process by managing the flow of materials and ensuring efficient operations. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors to load and unload materials, deliver them to designated areas, and support the fabrication line.
ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload materials on and off flatbed trucks.Deliver materials to designated areas and replenish the fabrication line.Manage extrusion inventory and support the fabrication department.Count and manage physical inventory in the yard.Notify department leads and supervisors of placement errors and damaged products.Shrink wrap materials and assist in building custom wooden crates for transport.Utilize an inventory system with strong computer/data entry skills using an iPad and desktop devices.Operate a forklift, with a focus on inventory management and shipping/receiving functions.Work with racking systems outside for large products, including glass and window frames up to 20 feet long.Meet production goals and ensure accurate material selection to avoid costly errors.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and shop.Stage and stack products on outdoor racking systems.Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform tasks requiring standing and walking for extended periods.Essential SkillsExperience with heavy industrial and heavy equipment operations.Proficient in forklift operation and inventory management.Strong computer and data entry skills.Flexibility to perform various tasks as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsQuality background is a plus.Ability to adapt to different roles and responsibilities.Why Work Here?Experience a family-oriented environment where employees are valued, from the CEO down.
