Volt is hiring a Shipping Clerk in Fresno, Ca

As a Shipping Clerk you will:

Verify all Sales Orders to ascertain that quantities and routing are correct. Prepares Shipments for forklift driver by scheduling pickups and printing all shipping documents needed per order. Printing shipping labels, verifying BOLs and ship to address. Receives incoming materials- logs and delivers to each department and obtains authorized signatures for acceptance of items. Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory shipped or received. Inspect inbound or outbound shipments for damage or defects; records damages or discrepancies and notifies Lead. Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents. May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records. May operate a pallet jack and help maintain warehouse cleanliness and neatness daily. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards. Keeps a full inventory count of materials and equipment needed within the department. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Order Processing Customer Service Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This is a Full Time - Temp to Hire Opportunity!

Schedule: 1st Shift Mon-Friday- Must be available to work OT and Weekends as needed.

The Ideal candidate will have: 

Experience working with inventory Order entry experience Shipping/Receiving clerical experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred 2-3 years of previous warehouse experience preferred

Pay: $18.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
