Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Grand Rapids, MI

1st Shift 7am-4pm; Occasional Overtime/Weekends

Position Overview
H.B. Fuller is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations with accuracy and efficiency. This role ensures timely handling of incoming and outgoing materials while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork and precision.

Primary Responsibilities

Follow all safety protocols and work instructions without exception

Perform internal product transfers using FIFO methodology

Collect raw material samples for quality control when required

Store and rotate inventory per company procedures

Report non-conforming products to supervisor

Load and unload trucks, containers, and tankers

Inspect transport vehicles for product safety

Accurately prepare and stage customer orders

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Basic proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems

Authorized to work in the U.S.

1+ year experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations

Preferred Requirements

Forklift operation experience

Familiarity with inventory control procedures

Ability to lift up to 25 kg and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $20-$25/hr.
