Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing order fulfillment, verifying shipments, and maintaining organized material storage to support manufacturing operations. This is a long-term contract position in the healthcare industry, ideal for an individual seeking a dynamic work environment and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities: • Verify the receipt of direct and indirect materials to ensure manufacturing needs are met. • Inspect, count, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing shipments to confirm accuracy against documentation such as invoices or bills of lading. • Maintain organized and tidy material storage areas to optimize efficiency. • Follow up promptly on delayed or pending items to ensure deadlines are met. • Prepare shipments with complete documentation and ensure timely delivery. • Participate in inventory management tasks to maintain accuracy and support operational needs. • Receive inbound materials by validating labels and quantities against paperwork, entering details into the system, and storing items appropriately. • Perform inventory functions using the NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning program. • Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in job-related safety training. • Assist with other material handling duties and assigned projects as needed. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience as a Shipper or Receiver. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Proficiency in using computer systems, including manufacturing and order processing software. • Solid basic math skills for accurate counting and measurement. • Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively and resolve issues. • Familiarity with shipping functions, including international shipping and freight logistics. • Experience with warehouse inventory procedures and packaging materials. • Ability to handle loading and unloading tasks efficiently.
