As we Serve with Integrity - Collaborate with Humility - Grow with Agility - Innovate with Impac This position will oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and movement of all products and parts related to inventory and be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the success of shipping and receiving operations. A successful candidate will be able to design and implement an efficient inventory system that maximizes capacity and inventory turnover. The metrics this position will be responsible for reporting and maintaining include but are not limited to, inventory variance, excess and obsolete, inventory turns, on-time fulfilment, stockouts, shrinkage, quality conformance, and order fulfilment accuracy. The Opportunity ... Major Duties & Responsibilities Oversee a staff of 4-10 inventory and shipping associates Responsible for the physical storage and organization of all parts and products across campus, currently spanning three buildings within close proximity of one another Oversee the receipt, storage, and movement of all parts and products into the business Oversee the kitting, fulfilment and preparation of all parts and products out of the business Ensure the company’s high level of customer service expectations and operational integrity are met and/or exceeded daily Direct and coordinate physical inventory, including auditing and monitoring cycle counts Monitor quality of all parts into and out of the business and manage the return process Responsible for the hiring, training, leading, and mentoring of all direct reports Design an effective training program for all new hires and providing continuous development opportunities for existing employees Interface with internal and external customers on inventory needs, recalls, and possible issues Develop and manage proper inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy Design, implement and/or maintain an inventory system that maximizes capacity utilization and efficiency Maintain optimal inventory levels through regular data analysis and inventory segmentation Prepare daily reports related to productivity, on time fulfilment and other metrics that support the success of the operation Continuously improving the efficiency of the department by deploying an SQDC problem solving methodology Why work at JBT ... BA/BS degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, WMS, TMS and/or inventory optimization Mastery in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook Experience in Tableau and/or PowerBI preferred Experience in data cleansing, analysis and visualization Experience in Change Management and Project Management Familiar with forecasting and demand planning Travel The duties of this job may require employee to maintain a driving record in good standing to operate company vehicles and obtain forklift certification Physical Requirements Duties of this job could require, but are not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of objects weighing a minimum of 75+lbs., standing on concrete floors, walking for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, twisting, and being exposed to loud noises and various temperatures. Duties also include dealing with a variety of employee situations Work Environment Mainly work in air-conditioned warehouse with concrete flooring. Working around machinery and forklifts.
