Shipboard Radio Communication Systems Engineering Technologist
**Job Description** Fast-paced and highly technical performer needed for challenging, high visibility technical environment. Position involves advanced test, troubleshooting, and support of US Navy shipboard communications UHF and HF systems and components, emergent fleet technical support, software and hardware upgrades, system grooms, and fleet training. Minimal travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required. Must be familiar with US Navy radio communication systems. Familiarity with computer programming and software is a bonus. This position is located in San Diego. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego or surrounding areas. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** High school diploma and at least 15 years shipboard communications experience operating and troubleshooting UHF, VHF, LOS, and SATCOM communications equipment and systems Familiarity with HF and MUOS communications equipment, operations and troubleshooting Ability to follow detailed system and component test procedures Ability to use standard test equipment such as a wattmeter and spectrum analyzer Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to work in high-stress environments under constrained schedules Ability to effectively communicate as part of a team **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** US Navy experience **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $83500 - $142000 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
