Shift Supervisor

Ledcor is seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Supervisor who leads by example. Your commitment to safety and quality will be reflected by the performance of your crew. In this role, you will be responsible for directly supervising operations staff and coordinating equipment to meet production and safety goals. You take an active role in supporting your team’s growth, helping them identify opportunities to develop their skills and advance in their roles.

Essential Responsibilities:

Accurately prepares and submits all required operational documentation in a timely manner, including equipment and personnel time sheets, log books, daily reports, and production records

Ensures full compliance with Ledcor’s Health, Safety & Environment policies, client-specific site requirements, and MSHA regulations

Actively promotes a culture of safety, supporting Ledcor’s goal of zero workplace incidents or accidents

Coordinates with other supervisors and mine staff to maintain proper sequencing and efficiency of operations

Works closely with the Blasting Supervisor to plan blast schedules, manage equipment and personnel movement, implement road closures, and contribute to short-term mining and blasting plans

Oversees the maintenance of haul roads to meet established standards

Qualifications:

Five or more years of relevant experience in open-pit mine operations

Proven ability to work independently

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Solid understanding of the functions and limitations of various open-pit mining equipment

Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with a focus on safety and efficiency

Proficiency in computer use and mining-related software

Work Conditions:

Site based position

Ability to work a rotating shift schedule
