We offer a collaborative and inclusive workplace where you’ll be empowered to share ideas, work safely, and contribute to continuous improvement. Whether you join us on a fixed-term contract or as a permanent team member, there are opportunities to grow your career and learn new skills within our fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As a Shift Plant Operator, you will play a vital role in the safe and efficient running of our site. You will support the operational control and monitoring of the Bio Energy aqueous treatment plant, biomass fuel processing plant, package boiler plant, and associated water treatment systems. Your responsibilities will include identifying and reporting abnormalities, recording plant performance, carrying out routine inspections, and supporting site operations through vehicle use and general duties.
You will also assist with chemical deliveries and stock management, while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping across the site. Above all, you will contribute to maintaining a proactive safety culture, working within procedures and legislation to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of colleagues and visitors at all times.
What You'll Bring
You don’t need previous experience to apply for this role—full training will be provided on site to help you build the skills and knowledge required. What is essential, however, is that you hold a full UK driving licence, as this is required to operate site vehicles once fully trained.
You are a safety-focused and reliable individual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. You are comfortable working to procedures, conducting inspections, sampling, and basic testing, and are diligent in maintaining accurate records. Practical and hands-on, you take pride in housekeeping standards and are not afraid to get involved in cleaning and operational support tasks.
Adaptable and team-oriented, you are flexible in providing cover where required and committed to continuous improvement. Above all, you bring attention to detail, strong awareness of hazards, and a positive approach to working safely within a high-performing team.
Working with us
Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere. And creating an inclusive culture, where everyone feels valued and that they can belong, is a crucial part of this.
We embrace diversity in the broadest possible sense. This means that you’ll be welcomed and celebrated for who you are just by being you. Our ambition is to create the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world.
