Location Description Michael Foods, Inc. located in Klingerstown, Pennyslvania known for their ice cream socials at Klingerstown Lutheran Parish, fishing rodeo, and fireman's parade. **Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** We are seeking a proactive and experienced Liquid Department Lead to oversee daily operations in the production of liquid egg products. This role is responsible for coordinating team activities, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, and supporting departmental leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct employees in the Liquid Department to meet production goals and quality standards. Develop and manage work schedules, assignments, and on-the-job training for new and transferred employees. Provide operational support and relief for other Lead Persons and the Processing Supervisor as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements (GMPs, HACCP, etc.). Maintain effective communication across shifts and departments to ensure smooth operations. Monitor product quality and take corrective action when necessary to meet customer specifications. Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist maintenance with basic repairs and diagnostics. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment through strong leadership and employee engagement. Participate in and lead safety initiatives, reinforcing safety as a core company value. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and technical documents. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP. Mechanical aptitude and experience operating production equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
