Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Shift Engineer to join our Data Center Operations team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the shift team to ensure 100% availability of critical infrastructure and executing all planned and unplanned maintenance activities within strict timelines.

You will work alongside a dedicated team of facilities experts committed to maintaining world-class uptime and safety standards for our global clients.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

Responsibility 1: Lead the shift team in planning, organizing, and supervising the maintenance of Data Center building systems—including High Tension/Low Tension (HT/LT) electrical systems, Diesel Generators, and HVAC—to ensure 100% equipment availability.

Responsibility 2: Collaborate with vendors, Critical Environment (CE) teams, and change management stakeholders to track complaints, manage Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and execute Method of Procedure (MOP) protocols for technical interventions.

Responsibility 3: Ensure 100% compliance with organizational and government safety standards, maintaining rigorous physical security processes and accurate inventory records as per Business Continuity Plan (BCP) requirements.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

6-12 years of professional experience specifically within Data Center operations.

Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, including Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Building Management Systems (BMS).

Proven ability in incident management and risk assessment, with a track record of meeting strict Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Turnaround Times (TAT).

A Diploma or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering.
