Job Description
Join our team as a Sheet Metal Mechanic where you will assist in the installation and maintenance of duct systems. This role involves working with various duct types and materials, identifying and resolving basic issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of HVAC systems. You will gain valuable experience in reading layouts and understanding system components.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with hanging ducts, sealing joints, assembling fittings, and setting registers.Learn about different duct types (flex, round, rectangular), insulation, fasteners, and materials.Identify basic issues such as air leaks, misaligned joints, loose connections, or airflow blockages.Perform basic duct sealing, cleaning, and resealing tasks.Understand the relation of duct systems to pipe routing, condensate, and refrigerant piping.Read and interpret simple layouts, duct routes, and installation sketches.Observe and learn about damper controls, actuators, and basic system components.Follow PPE, ladder safety, and OSHA safety requirements at all times.Record hours worked, track time, materials used, and basic installation details.Essential SkillsBasic knowledge of sheet metal tools, duct types, and installation methods.Ability to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions.Safety-conscious with a willingness to practice proper PPE and site procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsPunctual, dependable, and receptive to feedback.Strong teamwork and communication skills.High school diploma or GED required.OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).Basic sheet metal, duct install, or HVAC training a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work primarily in commercial and industrial buildings, following strict safety guidelines and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.
3 Month Performance Review with Potential Increase based on Performance and Departmental Growth
Vacation 1 Week after 90 days of employment
Holidays 7 paid holidays after 90 days of employment
Sick Time 5 sick days after 6 months of employment
401K (100% @ 4% match) (Dependent upon employees’ contribution)
